How to use this tool
Exchange Rankings lists spot and derivatives venues by reported 24h volume. Data is aggregated from public market APIs and refreshed on a schedule — similar to exchange leaderboards on major crypto data sites.
How it works
- Spot tab ranks centralized and decentralized spot exchanges by USD volume, with trust score and market/coin counts for top venues.
- Derivatives tab ranks futures/perpetual exchanges by volume and open interest (BTC).
- Filter CEX/DEX on spot to separate centralized vs decentralized venues.
- The mini sparkline shows recent volume snapshots collected by PEPS — more points appear over time.
- Trust score reflects exchange confidence metrics from the data provider — not a PEPS endorsement.
What to consider
- Reported volumes can be inflated on some venues — use trust score and multiple sources.
- Derivatives OI is in BTC — convert mentally using current BTC price for USD sense.
- Coin/pair counts are enriched for top exchanges only — others may show — until detail refresh.
- Rankings refresh automatically every 30 minutes.
